Luke Barthelmess, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Luke joined Towle & Co. in June 2018 after serving the firm in a consulting role while completing his MBA. He is a member of the investment team, responsible for conducting fundamental analysis on portfolio companies and deep quantitative research with a focus on process improvement.
Prior to joining Towle & Co., Luke was an analyst at Kinderhook Partners, an investment partnership that invests globally in public and private companies. At Kinderhook, he analyzed search funds, small-cap stocks, and leveraged control investments. Previously, he spent the better part of a year in the German Football League playing quarterback for the Stuttgart Scorpions.
Luke graduated cum laude with BA degrees in mathematics and economics from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and received an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. Luke holds the distinction of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).
He lives in Denver with his wife, Hannah, their son, and a lovable golden retriever named Hudson.
