The majority owner of Towle & Co., Chris joined the firm in 1994 and has been instrumental in all aspects of our growth and development. As a member of the investment team, he shares responsibility for the investment management process including portfolio management, trading, and research. He also serves on the firm's Management and Risk Committees.
Prior to 1994, Chris was a General Manager at H. H. Brown Shoe Co., Inc., an operating subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. He started his professional career as a Senior Credit Analyst at Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York City.
Chris graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with a BA in history and received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Chris and his wife, Laura, are empty-nesters in Denver.
